Fairytales, Fantasy & Fear (25 February 2012 - 7 July 2012)
Known for his work in tar, artist Mattia Biagi reinterprets icons on
lost innocence, such as Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella's
carriage. Fiber artist Mark Newport creates hand-knit acrylic
re-creations of heroes' costumes, which combine their heroic,
protective, ultra masculine, yet vulnerable personas. Japanese paper
artist Kako Ueda uses disturbing imagery in her detailed cut-outs to
examine the tensions between the natural world and the man-made.
