Mint: Artist Talk with Silvia Levenson
Silvia Levenson will discuss her career as an artist working in glass, including her sculpture, Until Death Do Us Part, recently acquired by The Mint Museum and on view at Mint Museum Uptown starting February 6. She will also discuss how the theme of intimate partner violence is addressed in Until Death Do Us Part.
The preceding Saturday, 23 March, is Domestic Violence Awareness Night with the Charlotte Checkers. Fans attending the Charlotte Checkers game at Bojangles’ Coliseum are encouraged to wear purple to show their support for the Jamie Kimble Foundation for Courage—a Charlotte-based foundation that seeks to prevent domestic violence—as well as all those who have been affected by it. Visit the Jamie Kimble Foundation for more information. Attendees of Levenson’s talk are also encouraged to wear purple.
